A Silent Brilliance The story introduces us to Shalewa, a “reclusive autistic teenager” who navigates a world that often feels overwhelming. While others in her village might see her as distant, Shalewa finds deep “solace in her drawings” and a unique “collection of discarded items” that she meticulously gathers. These scraps, viewed as junk by most, are actually the building blocks of her vivid imagination and technical intuition—a silent language she uses to communicate her brilliance to a world that doesn’t always listen.
