A State of Limbo The second season premiere finds Saro in a haunting “state of limbo,” existing as a “wraith-like figure” caught between the world of the living and the dead. No longer the man he once was, he struggles to “reclaim his humanity” while the consequences of his “past lives collide.” The introduction of a “ghoul” element suggests that the mystical life-force he once manipulated has “mutated into something far more sinister,” turning his existence into a supernatural cautionary tale about the price of cheating death.
